Kylie is probably one of the most recognisable and best-loved Australian exports.

For many of us, we first knew her as her screen character Charlene Robinson in the TV soap Neighbours. By the late 1980s, she had left Ramsay Street behind and launched her music career. Her first single was ‘The Loco-Motion’ becoming her debut single in Australia.

Her international breakthrough followed, and with ‘I Should Be So Lucky’, Kylie achieved her first UK Number 1. The rest of the 1980s saw Kylie become a fully-fledged pop phenomenon. By clocking up a remarkable string of chart hits, she established herself as one of the decade’s biggest pop stars.

The early to mid-1990s saw Kylie’s image and sound begin to change. It evovled from teeny girl star into a more mature and creatively independent artist. While this period wasn’t always as commercially successful as her 1980s heyday, Kylie was setting the stage for a pop renaissance of unprecedented magnitude.

Fast-forward to the early 2000s and Kylie exploded back onto the airwaves and dance floors with a string of catchy, uplifting and energetic hits, kicking off with ‘Spinning Around’, which shot straight to Number 1.

Then came one of the defining records of her career, ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’, followed by a succession of hits that firmly re-established Kylie as one of the biggest names in pop.

Across her extraordinary career, Kylie has scored eight UK Number 1 singles, from ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ in 1988 to the Christmas Number 1 ‘XMAS’ in 2025.

From 2010 to the present day, Kylie has continued to reinvent herself, release new music and return to the charts — proving that this particular Pop Princess isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

At the centre of every cushion is an original illustration. Each illustration begins with the same basic ingredients: pencil, paper, ruler and buckets of imagination and fun.

Some sketches never make it off the drawing board. Those which do are carefully digitised. The finished design is then checked before it becomes part of the product range.
